About
Nick Evers was born in Ocala, Florida on Halloween, of the year 1985. His mother, being passionate about the arts in all their forms, encouraged his developing passion for being creative. Rather than being judgmental, she allowed him to play with dolls rather than enforcing typical toys boys might like to play with. Little did she know that that would spark a life-long passion for fashion design.
"I remember my moment of serendipity clearly. In the mid to late nineties, Bob Mackie did a line of dolls that were so intricate, so beautifully designed, it seemed to solidify in my mind that there was something spectacular about this art form."
Nick would later on experiment in a great multitude of creative avenues, including the performing arts such as theater, orchestra and chorus, as well as any kind of two- and three-dimensional art he could get his hands on. However, one art form remained a constant drive, and that was fashion.
Nick attained a BFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in apparel design and a minor in accessory design.
"I was always told, when I was looking to get into a career, that I should do what I was most passionate about. What I would do even if I was never paid. Fashion has always been just that for me. I'm constantly thinking and creating, even at the most random of times. Inspiration to me has never been difficult. It's always just happening to me, the constant dreamer. When I think of my heroes like Karl Lagerfeld and Valentino, I say to myself, 'That's exactly it. That's what I want to do for the rest of my life.' I can't imagine myself doing anything else."
